    Our commitment

Palmwoods Community Club is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA and to support the principles of the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth).

    What we do

    • Use semantic HTML so content is meaningful to screen readers and other assistive technology.
    • Provide descriptive alt text for meaningful images and decorative roles for purely visual elements.
    • Support keyboard navigation across menus, links and interactive elements.
    • Maintain sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
    • Use a responsive layout that adapts to mobile, tablet and desktop screens.
    • Allow users to zoom and resize text without breaking the layout.
    • Avoid flashing or rapidly moving content and respect reduced-motion preferences.
    • Use clear, plain Australian English and consistent navigation.

    Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content on the website may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations may include:

    • Embedded third-party content (such as Google Maps) which we do not directly control and which may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA.
    • Older images that may have limited or generic alt text — we are progressively improving these.

We are working to address these issues as part of our ongoing improvement of the website.

How to report an accessibility issue
